The highly successful Transformers franchise welcomed its fourth entry into the series thanks to this recent Super Bowl unveiling. Transformers: Age of Extinction followed a similar trailer debut as previous chapters through a moody, action-intensive series of fast cuts that present the perpetual battle between Autobots and Decepticons.
Mark Walhberg enters the mix in an almost entirely new cast of characters that sees a new chapter unfold four years after Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
Last month, director Michael Bay revealed his plans to give movie fans a first look at the new Transformers movie at the Super Bowl, admitting on his official website that he wanted to unveil a teaser to get fans excited about the July release date.
Bay wrote: “So that brings me to letting Transformers fans know that we have completed our five and half month shoot. We got back from a month-long shot in China. My crew and I had a fantastic time shooting in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
“It was an amazing experience, and I love the country. My cast was absolutely fantastic, and a very fun group to work with. We are working hard cutting the movie right now.
“I think the first piece comes out for the Super Bowl and a teaser right after that. And yes, I’m very excited about this new movie.”
