RocketNews 24:

One of the few fun things about having a sore throat or something nastier like tonsillitis is that you have a legitimate excuse to lie on the couch in front of the TV and eat ice-cream.

And now – although we’re imagining makers Häagen-Dazs is hoping that more than just the sickly few will appreciate it – there’s a brand new flavor that sounds perfect for those feeling a little under the weather: Lemon Ginger Float.

A combination of thick, milky ice cream and lemon ginger sorbet containing actual lemon zest, this mini tub is bound to cure what ails ya*. Available for a limited time only (don’t worry, there are plenty of other flavours to take its place), the mini-cups go on sale from today in Japan priced 263 yen (US$2.50) excluding tax.

Even if you’re not feeling ill, you might as well pick up a few tubs of this just in case. After all, there’s no use waiting until you’re poorly and in urgent need of throat-soothing sustenance, now is there?
