This latest version sees the runner done up in a premium Okayama selvedge denim base, with dark blue overlays embellishing the toe cap, heel, and lacelets, while the branding at the side panel is rendered in a contrasting white hue. Vibrant red inner lining and leather details at the heel and tongue round out the premium offering.

The classic runner’s premium suede upper comes represented in a rich burgundy hue, with subtle grey and white touches all over and a clean white midsole. 2015 marks thirty years of the Colorado Eighty-Five and this release is the latest in a line of premium representations of the silhouette from the Japanese brand.

Accordingly, the Colorado Eighty-Five ‘Platinum’ has been issued in two colorways – a “Navy Atomic Blue” and a “Dark Brown” – both of which receive luxe suede treatment throughout. The blue version sports a light grey toe box to contrast the navy paneling through the midfoot and heel, while the brown version is contrasted by a lush cream color at the front.

After launching its Fall/Winter 2014 season just two weeks ago, the ongoing collaboration between Italian designer Andrea Pompilio and Onitsuka Tiger has produced yet another rendition of the Colorado Eighty-Five. This version of the retro runner finds the silhouette done up with a monochrome geometric patterned upper, executed in supple leather. A bold tonal green heel counter contrasts both the upper and the midsole, which features a futuristic dotted motif.

A trail-inspired rugged rubber outsole completes this offering from the fourth round of Andrea Pompilio’s collaboration with Onitsuka Tiger, available at retailers such as Premier now.
