SUPER taps artist Keiichi Tanaami on design of custom Honda NX650 Motorcycle

As a nod to its Spring/Summer 2014 “MOTORPSYCHO” collectionSUPER tapped iconic Japanese artist Keiichi Tanaami to customize a collaborative motorcycle. Recalling the collection’s “VISIVA” series, the project utilizes a 1988 Honda NX650 from Italy’s Basic Garage as a canvas, applying Tanaami’s intricate lines and bold splashes of color to the black bike’s gas tank and nose cone.

A unique one-off and a celebration of creativity, the Tanaami-customized NX650 will be on display at a variety of exhibitions around the world in the months to come.

Founded in Leeds in 2010, MKI Miyuki-Zoku Store is a contemporary menswear retailer that takes its name and attitude from the Japanese youth subculture of the same name. Its in-house line, MKI BLACK, embodies the same spirit of style and rebellion with designs that are both classic and modern, and accessible to boot.

For Spring/Summer 2014, the label delivers its “High Grain” collection — a leather-based capsule that fuses classic jacket silhouettes with robust, high-grain cow leather and chrome fixings, including styles like biker, coach and bomber jackets. Handsome and high-quality, each leather jacket features a slim fit, premium materials and timeless style at a price point that won’t break the bank.

Rounding out MKI BLACK’s new releases, meanwhile, is a heavyweight fleece sweatshirt bomber that’s a nice riff on the essential outerwear piece.

Look for MKI BLACK’s Spring/Summer 2014 new arrivals now at the HYPEBEAST Store.
